— Previously served as a pharmaceutical and medical expert at Pfizer Korea, Eli Lilly Korea, and Daewoong Pharmaceutical — SeltaSquare establishes new Clinical Strategy Division to strengthen growth engine
SeltaSquare (CEO: Shin Min-kyung), an AI-based pharmacovigilance specialist company, announced on the 9th that it has appointed Lee Hye-jeong as Head of its newly established Clinical Strategy Division, bringing in her expertise to strengthen RMP-based Real-World Data (RWD) research strategy and capabilities.
Having recently secured KRW 9.2 billion in Series A funding, SeltaSquare is focusing on RMP-based proactive pharmacovigilance and RWD for new data generation as key growth drivers in response to evolving regulatory changes — with plans to go beyond conventional pharmacovigilance approaches and build differentiated global competitiveness.
Lee Hye-jeong holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree from Yonsei University, is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Applied Sciences at the same institution, and has completed the Senior Executive Program in Pharmaceutical Medicine at Seoul National University College of Medicine. She also serves as an expert committee member of the Advanced Regulatory Innovation Consortium for Clinical Trials (ARICTT), where she continues to work on multi-stakeholder collaboration across industry, academia, and regulatory bodies to expand institutional support for clinical trial efficiency and promote the adoption of decentralized clinical trials.
Having spent 19 years at Pfizer, Eli Lilly, and Daewoong Pharmaceutical, Lee is recognized as an expert with deep insight across the full drug development lifecycle — from regulatory clinical trials to post-marketing studies and RWD. In particular, her experience generating new outcomes using RWD and post-marketing surveillance (PMS) data during her tenure at global pharmaceutical company Pfizer is expected to provide critical insights in the pharmacovigilance field and offer solutions for navigating regulatory changes.
Most recently, she led domestic and international clinical trials for Daewoong Pharmaceutical's new drug Fexuclue, presenting new treatment options for gastroesophageal reflux disease, and made significant contributions to advancing its medical value by presenting related clinical posters at gastrointestinal conferences in the United States and Europe.
Lee Hye-jeong commented: "At a time when the full implementation of the RMP system is placing even greater emphasis on proactive pharmacovigilance activities and the importance of RWD, the industry is still lacking effective methods to utilize these tools. By combining the experience I have built at global and domestic pharmaceutical companies, my network within academia and regulatory bodies, and SeltaSquare's innovative technology, I aim to present a new paradigm for pharmacovigilance through the use of RWD."
