SeltaSquare (CEO: Shin Min-kyung) announced on the 28th that it has appointed Kim Sang-hyo — a development expert formerly of Samsung Electronics — as Head of its Development Division, as part of its efforts to build a global-standard full-lifecycle pharmacovigilance (PV) platform.

According to SeltaSquare, Kim Sang-hyo is an alumnus of the Samsung Software Membership program who spent 11 years at Samsung Electronics' Mobile Communications Division, where he played a pivotal role in the software development process for finished products. He was notably involved in the software development and performance improvement of flagship models including the Galaxy and Note series. The company describes him as a development expert who has since demonstrated his technical competitiveness as a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at a startup.

With this appointment, SeltaSquare will advance the design and quality of its AI-based full-lifecycle PVaaS (Pharmacovigilance-as-a-Service) platform, which is scheduled for launch this year. The company also plans to further strengthen its capabilities for global market entry through the systematic restructuring of its development organization and process innovation.

Kim Sang-hyo stated: "I will enhance development capabilities across the entire organization and build a platform that is trusted in the global pharmacovigilance field."
