AI-based safety data specialist SeltaSquare announced on the 25th that it showcased the technical architecture and real-world applications of its AI-powered pharmacovigilance platform, “iVigilance Square,” during the TECH FAIR session of the 2025 KoNECT-MOHW International Conference (KIC 2025), held from September 22 to 24.
KIC 2025, jointly hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea National Enterprise for Clinical Trials (KoNECT), is one of the largest international conferences in the clinical trial industry. This year marked the inaugural launch of the TECH FAIR session, designed to introduce emerging technologies in the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors. During the session, Kim Sang-hyo, Head of PVaaS Division at SeltaSquare, delivered a presentation titled “iVigilance Square Impact.”
In the presentation, SeltaSquare introduced an AI-driven automation framework designed to address repetitive manual tasks and operational bottlenecks commonly encountered across pharmacovigilance (PV) workflows. The company emphasized that AI can enhance the accuracy of repetitive tasks while enabling experts to focus on quality review and signal evaluation. SeltaSquare also highlighted its Human-in-the-loop AI design principles and customized automation processes tailored to actual PV operations, demonstrating how productivity and data consistency can be improved simultaneously.
iVigilance Square is an AI-powered end-to-end platform capable of automatically processing and analyzing the entire PV safety data flow. The platform is designed to manage literature screening, ICSR reporting, data consistency review, and Risk Management Plan (RMP) response activities within a unified framework. Beyond simple automation, the platform performs quality control at the code level and incorporates Explainable AI (XAI) architecture to strengthen regulatory reliability and transparency.
Through the presentation, Kim Sang-hyo stated, “AI should not replace pharmacovigilance professionals, but rather serve as a tool that enhances their expertise,” adding, “Through iVigilance Square, SeltaSquare provides a practically applicable automation framework that bridges the gap between AI technology and real-world operational needs.”
